Along with the decorative function, the mascara also performs a protective one - it protects the eyelashes from dust and wind, prevents their fragility and fading in the sun.
Nevertheless, one should not forget about the other side of the coin - the side effects that the use of this type of cosmetics causes.
Since the eyes are a very sensitive organ, reacting even to the minimum amount of pathogenic bacteria, in order to avoid their presence, preservatives are included in the composition of the carcass. Unfortunately, in some cases they can cause allergies. Therefore, ink must necessarily pass ophthalmological control.

Consistency
Good mascara should be of medium consistency. It should easily, in a thin layer, lie on the eyelashes, without dripping from them. Volumizing mascara should be somewhat thicker as it is wax based. Lengthening mascara is usually more liquid, as it is made on a polymer basis and, when dried, forms a thin film on the eyelashes.
Approbants rated almost all ink as “very good”.
The exception was " Yves Rocher"- the mascara is very dry, did not fit well on the eyelashes, and" Rilken Cromatics Waterproof"- very liquid mascara, when applied to the eyelashes, it flows and smears (ratings are "satisfactory").

Drying mascara on eyelashes

If the mascara has a long drying time, then after applying it, you should wait a while and do not “clap” your eyelashes, otherwise part of the mascara will remain on the eyelids, under the eyebrows and you will need to wipe it off.
In our fast-paced time, many women do not have a second of extra time, so this mascara is not suitable for them. It should be noted that polymer-based mascara (all waterproof) may take a little longer to dry, but this will not be a disadvantage, otherwise the mascara will polymerize on the eyelashes “on the go” and clumps will result. In addition, the time spent on painting eyelashes is more than compensated by the fact that the mascara does not need to be corrected during the day and the eyelashes will remain in order until the evening.
The best in this parameter were Ellen Betrix mascara Double volum, Ellen Betrix mascara Natural, Max Factor Stretch mascara, all ink Lancome, Oriflame Lash build mascara volum, Boirjois Cil Waterproof mascara for sensitive eyes.

Mascara removal
Most approbants are used to removing mascara from eyelashes with water and soap, some use cosmetic milk for this purpose, and only a few remove mascara with special eye makeup removers.
